You’re missing out if you haven’t seen The Last of Us HBO series yet. Even those who aren’t zombie fans appreciate the deep storytelling, character development, and interesting plot lines for the gritty series. And it appears the critics agree, with The Last of Us series gaining a total of 25 nominations across 20 categories for the 2023 Emmy awards show.
Debuting in February of 2023, The Last of Us was created by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin and stars Pedro Pascal (Joel Miller) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie Williams) as they navigate a post-apocalyptic world filled with ravenous cordyceps-infected zombies that roam the land. Based on the popular franchise of games with the same name, The Last of Us closely follows the game it was inspired from.
