The Last of Us, developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony, is an action-adventure game initially launched in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and later for PlayStation 4 in the summer of 2014. Players can experience a completely rebuilt from the ground-up experience in The Last of Us Part 1 Remake. According to Sony, it’s “a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay mechanics, improved controls and expanded accessibility options.”
The Last of Us Part 1 Remake Release Date
The Last of Us Part 1 Remake releases on September 2, 2022, at midnight ET.
The game is now available for pre-load to those who have pre-ordered it. It’s approximately 70 GB, and if you’re looking to hop into the game at release time, we recommend starting your download as soon as possible.
Pre-order is still available, and there are two game editions to choose from, including the Standard and the Deluxe. Here are the main differences:
- The Last of Us Part 1 Remake Standard: Get The Last of Us Part 1 for PlayStation 5 and the Left Behind prequel Chapter for $69.99.
- The Last of Us Part 1 Remake Deluxe Edition: Get what’s included in the Standard version, plus two skill upgrades, a pistol and rifle upgrade, explosive arrows, Dither Punk filter, speedrun mode, and six weapon skins for $79.99.
If the perks are worth it for you, the Deluxe Edition is not a bad value at only $10 more than the Standard Edition.
