The Last Oricru Looks Like a New Morrowind

In The Last Oricru, every decision matters

As globalization takes hold of the gaming industry and more high-quality experiences are developed by large and small development companies overseas, it’s sometimes hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.

This was never more apparent at Gamescom 2022, where we saw a huge influx of title announcements and release trailers. One of the games that might have gotten lost in the shuffle was The Last Oricru, an action RPG developed by GoldKnights Development Studio. Here’s everything we know so far about The Last Oricru.

An Emphasis on Impactful Decisions

Set in the Medieval world of Wardenia, storytelling and player-based choices take the forefront in this Sci-Fi action RPG. As outlined in their development vlog, there is already an immersive and profound story that the game’s creators are driving.

Many scenes from the early-gameplay trailer are somewhat reminiscent (with more rats) of old-school games like The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion with a techie twist.

Take a look at the trailer for The Last Oricru here:

With both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes, The Last Oricru could be a blast from the past that you can enjoy with friends online or on split screen couch co-op. Only time will tell with the full release of the game whether it will be received well.

If we’re being honest, while the game looks fun, immersive, and injected with passion from the developers, some of the early-game footage looks a little rough. We’ll have to wait and see whether the smaller dev team can fix all the bugs for a polished final product, though, we can’t lie–we’re feeling nostalgic.
