If you are having trouble finding the keys so you can open all gates for the Kill the Snitch mission in The Outlast Trials, this guide will walk you through how to get them.
After restarting the generators and pushing the Snitch through the first gate, players are presented with the task of finding keys to open all gates throughout the level. These keys are randomized each run, so each trial will be slightly different. If you’ve been struggling to find your key of choice, this guide was created to walk you through it. Here’s how and where to find the keys in the Kill the Snitch mission in Outlast Trials.
Where to Find Keys in Kill the Snitch
To find the keys, follow the tracks to each gate with monitors and look at the monitors to determine which symbols you’ll need to look for. Keys will be located in bodies on the level and appear as question marks in-game as you get close to them. Look at the bodies to discover the clue — if it matches what is on the screen above the gate, interact with it to retrieve the key.
There will be false keys with different symbols scattered across the map, so you’ll need to find the exact keys that match the icons found on each of the gate’s television sets. Interacting with a corpse that has a false key will inflict damage on the player for making the wrong choice.
Once you retrieve the keys, you can push The Snitch all the way down to the end location. We suggest finding the keys first, opening the gates, then pushing him, as it’s easier to do it in this order rather than trying to unlock gates and find more keys.
If you don’t keep pushing The Snitch, he will slide back to his starting location, so make sure you clear the path first by opening all the gates. When playing with other people, they can distract whatever enemies are in the area so one person can push the cart.
