Space and 4X games go together like peanut butter and jelly. A universe full of infinite possibilities is the perfect place to show what a real empire looks like. Players can scratch that empire-building itch this October through The Pegasus Expedition, developed by Kalla Gameworks and published by Fulqrum Publishing. Here’s what we know about The Pegasus Expedition release date and details.
When is The Pegasus Expedition Release Date?
The Pegasus Expedition releases into Early Access on October 20, 2022. It will be available for PCs through Steam, GoG, and the Epic Games Store. The release date for the full 1.0 version is not set at this time, but the devs are aiming for Mid-2023.

What is The Pegasus Expedition?
The Pegasus Expedition is a sci-fi themed 4X strategy game. Players will take control of a fleet sent to the Pegasus Galaxy and lead humanity through a major chapter in its history. From there, players must manage all sides of galactic exploration and expansion.
Fleeing a troubled homeworld, the expedition must become self-sufficient and connected to survive. Settlements must be founded, new technology developed, and alliances established.

With 30 different factions in the game, there are plenty of potential allies to choose from. War, in particular, is to be won with planning and foresight, with espionage promised too. The devs have also emphasized a strong storyline and a replayable campaign. The player will be tasked with major decisions that alter the Pegasus Galaxy forever–no pressure.
The devs estimate players will take around 20 hours to complete the existing storyline, so there’s plenty for players to dig into. Hopefully, they’ll provide plenty of good feedback that can be used to expand and shape the game going toward its 2023 release.
There is currently a demo available on Steam for anyone that wants a closer look before the October 20 release date.
Oh, right, we should have made allies before we started the war. Check our News Section while we try to plan our way out of this.
