THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte have announced the release of Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, the latest addition to the Trine franchise.
Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch and is aiming for a Summer 2023 release date. In this new game, players will follow the journey of Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight, as they explore the fantastical fairytale world in their quest to save the kingdom.
Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will have 20 beautifully designed levels with stunning landscapes, including glistening gemstone caverns and perilous underwater passageways. The game is set to be the deepest and visually richest chapter of the series, with new mechanics that cause the puzzles in the game to change in difficulty based on the number of players. There will also be a skill quest system with challenging boss fights, which will be tactical and multi-phase battles.

The game can be played solo or with up to three other players in online and local co-op. As the clock ticks, the heroes of Trine must reunite to defeat the Clockwork army and bring peace to the land.
Trine 5 is being developed by Frozenbyte in Helsinki, Finland, and published by THQ Nordic. The game will have a soundtrack with songs that change depending on the in-game environment.
