Twitch Takes Action on Gambling Streams

The streaming platform will prohibit streaming sites that include slots, roulette, and dice games

Today, Twitch announced on Twitter that they would prohibit streaming gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games on October 18, 2022. The news comes following the recent controversy over popular Twitch streamer Sliker, who allegedly scammed his viewers and colleagues out of thousands of dollars.

Previously, Twitch prohibited sharing links and referral codes to all sites featuring slots, roulette, and dice games, but some streamers have circumvented those rules. As a result, Twitch has decided to “prohibit streaming of gambling sites that includes slots, roulette, or dice games that are not licensed in the United States or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer production.”
