UBOAT Patch Notes (October 15)

A wealth of major and minor changes come with the latest UBOAT 2022.1 Update. These include a brand new campaign, enemy ships, weapons, and missions. The biggest change is a new campaign beginning in 1939, making the entire WWII period playable. History buffs will also appreciate the ports aligning with their historical counterparts.

Changes to Submarines, Weapons, and Crew Control

Submarine captains must be cautious, as this update also brings new threats. Depth charges now sink faster, becoming more dangerous.

The Allies now use Hedgehog mortar launchers starting in 1942. The good news and bad news (depending on who you ask) is the mortar only detonates on direct impact.

Aircraft are now at risk while in port with the new air raids mechanic. Submarine captains can build submarine pens to stay safe between missions.

Crew control has been expanded too. Players manually control alarms now. They provide short-term bonuses and long-term penalties to moderate their use. Officers now provide support and buffs even when the usual stations are filled. With this, Players can better reap the benefits of a skilled crew.
