Genshin Impact is an incredibly popular action-role-playing game that is enjoyed by millions of players all over the world. While the game has already been ported by developer HoYoverse to many different consoles, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, GeForce Now, Android, iOS, and PC, Nintendo Switch players have been eagerly awaiting the game’s release. However, a Redditor named u/wingsofthygiant posted a video to the r/Genshin_Impact subreddit showcasing them playing the game on a Nintendo Switch console.

In the video posted by u/wingsofthygiant, players can see that Genshin Impact is indeed running on the Nintendo Switch console. This is done by u/wingsofthygiant by installing Android onto the Nintendo Switch.

However, even with this workaround, the game cannot detect the controllers of the Switch, which means any users following this method would need to use the touchscreen of the Switch in order to interact with the device. While this may be good for players who want to use it on the go, there are much easier methods for those who want to take the game with them.

Developer HoYoverse is still working on the Nintendo Switch release, and those who are looking for a better on-the-go solution to playing Genshin Impact may want to look into the Steam Deck. Instead of this modified Nintendo Switch running Android, they could use the controllers instead of only a touchscreen.
