Are you trying to decide whether to kill Berthram or Captain Rovand for the quest in Wartales? Well, it’s a tough choice, but I chose to take down Captain Rovand, as he seemed to be doing more harm than good. If you decide to take down Captain Rovand, you will find a Golden Key on his body and then wonder what to do with it. Here’s a quick guide on where to use the Golden Key in Wartales.
First, to get the Golden Key, you need to kill Captain Rovand and inspect his body. The Golden Key will be on his body, and the description reads, “This key is precious, but not as much as the treasure it keeps sealed.” Sounds enticing, right?
Where to Use the Golden Key in Wartales
The Golden Key is used to open the chest in the Tilrten County Guard Outpost. The locked treasure chest is located in the rightmost blue tent in the Guard Outpost, and you can right-click it to unlock it as long as you hold the Golden Key.
Inside the chest, we found an Inquisition Cinqueda and 3 Salt. The weapon is a nice upgrade over the base weapon for a ranger or any other melee class that wields a blade. Salt is also a nice-to-have resource that merchants sell.
