Zenless Zone Zero, the newest upcoming game by Hoyoverse, the company that brought us Genshin Impact, just released new gameplay footage at the 2022 Tokyo Game Awards. Here’s what we know so far about Zenless Zone Zero, including 18 minutes of gameplay.
What is Zenless Zone Zero?
Zenless Zone Zero is an action-adventure RPG. set in a future dystopia riddled with disaster. This city, known as New Eridu, is a city where humans and monsters known as the Hollows co-exist.
Much like Genshin, the combat system rotates between different heroes in ZZZ. You will have up to 4 other hero or weapon slots, each with unique abilities, special skills, and ultimates. The combat is fast-paced and very stylized.

Zenless Zone Zero Maintains a High Quality
Much like Genshin Impact, the characters, visuals, and cutscenes are all high-quality. The combat bursts with color and looks visually engaging and frenetic. We’re in love with the stylish, futuristic design of the characters in the game.
While no information has been officially confirmed regarding whether Zenless Zone Zero is a gacha game, the gacha system will likely be implemented for characters and weapons, similar to Honkai Impact and Genshin Impact.
