If you’re looking to switch things up from the M4, the TAQ-56 is quickly becoming one of the best Assault Rifles in the game. Its high damage and low time to kill make it an excellent option for mid-range battles.
Call of Duty veterans will know the TAQ-56 as the SCAR-L from previous Modern Warfare titles. Often hailed as the dominant AR in the game, it has returned in Modern Warfare 2.

- Barrel: 14.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel

- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Magazine: 40 Round Magazine (optional)

To start things off, the 14.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel provides some nice Damage Range, Bullet Velocity, and Hip Fire Accuracy in exchange for some mobility. However, we’ll make up for that with the next two attachments.
We’re going with the TV Cardinal for the stock to gain some extra mobility. On a similar note, the Demo Cleanshot Grip also provides mobility by boosting the Sprint to Fire and Aim Down Sight speed.
For the underbarrel, you might already have this slot occupied if you’re using the blueprint. Otherwise, you can use something like the FSS Sharkfin 90 for extra control.
An optional perk here is the 40-Round magazine. Obviously, the higher ammo count comes in clutch, but it also makes the weapon feel much slower. So if you really need that higher mobility, you can forego the magazine and leave the final attachment slot empty.
Finally, the optic is always up to you, but some players prefer the Cronen Mini Pro for the precision sight without too much clutter.

How to Unlock the TAQ-56 in Modern Warfare 2
To unlock the TAQ-56 in Modern Warfare 2, you will need to reach Level 19 in Combat Rank. Once you get to Level 19, the weapon will automatically unlock so you can set it in your loadout.
