We’ve eagerly awaited more from Glen Schofield and the team over at Striking Distance Studios on their latest sci-fi horror release, The Callisto Protocol. We finally got another filthy, pustulated taste of things at Gamescom 2022. The extended Callisto Protocol new/early gameplay shows off some seriously demented and disgusting monsters and some new gameplay mechanics players can dive into during this year’s holiday season.
Callisto Protocol New Gameplay
In addition to disgusting, sore-infested monsters, we get a glimpse into an interactive gaming portion of the game. It shows a tunnel portion where you slide down a giant, what seems to be a septic shaft, and where the results are… interesting, to say the least.
We won’t spoil it for you. Watch the extended early-access gameplay footage here:
What Did We Learn About The Callisto Protocol?
In addition to the new early-gameplay footage, we were also given some additional info about the game from Glen Schofield, the CEO of Striking Distance Studios. We learned more about the gore and dismemberment system. We also got to see a little more about the interactivity between you, enemies, and the environment.
From the looks of the trailer, it looks like there will be plenty of opportunities for gorehounds to decimate their zombie enemies in a variety of unique and creative ways.
