Company of Heroes 3 is the highly anticipated follow-up and the latest entry in the Company of Heroes series. If you’re a fan of tactical strategy games and haven’t played Company of Heroes yet, you’re missing out. Recently, the developers had an exciting announcement about the Company of Heroes 3 release date and made an early game build available for eager fans to play.
What is Company of Heroes 3?
Company of Heroes 3 (COH3) is a real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by Relic Entertainment. Company of Heroes 3 is set around WWII and located in the North African and Italian theaters, unlike previous entries that focused more on the European and the Eastern fronts.

In COH3, you control different squadrons of units and play either the Allies or Axis factions. In addition to maintaining battalions of units, you can also build and control vehicles and tanks. Much of COH3 is built around their building and cover system, making microing and positioning incredibly important in this top-down strategy game.
What is the Company of Heroes 3 Release Date?
According to an update via the Company of Heroes Twitter, Company of Heroes 3 will now release on February 23. 2023. Originally, the game was meant to release on November 17, 2022. The game will be available on PC via Steam.
What Factions Will Be in Company of Heroes 3?
COH3 will release with two more factions than usual upon release. Typically, in past games, additional factions were released in subsequent DLCs. More factions will probably be released in the future for Company of Heroes 3.
Company of Heroes 3 will have the following factions on release:
- US Forces (Allies)
- British Forces (Allies)
- Wehrmacht (Axis)
- Deutsches Afrikakorps (Axis)
Like the previous entries, each faction has strengths and weaknesses that will affect your playstyle.

How Can I Sign Up for the Company of Heroes 3 Mission Alpha Beta?
This Company of Heroes 3 Mission Alpha Beta is playable from July 12 at 1 a.m. EST to July 19 at 12 p.m. EST.
To sign up for the Company of Heroes 3 Mission Alpha Beta:
- Visit the Company of Heroes website.
- Click the Mission Alpha banner on the main page.
- Create a Relic account if you don’t have one.
- Go to your email and click the link to verify your account.
- Login to the COH3 website again, and link your Steam account.
- Claim the Beta access on your main account page.
And there you have it! You should now have access to the COH 3 Mission Alpha Beta when you log in to your Steam account.
