Diablo Immortal Patch Notes (October 12)

October's minor content update brings two new events, seasonal cosmetics, and Telluric Pearls

We’re almost halfway through October, and Halloween is just around the corner, as is another Diablo Immortal minor content update. This month’s update includes two new limited-time events, a referral system, two cosmetic sets, a new resource that free-to-play players will love, and some minor quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. Here’s a rundown of the Diablo Immortal patch notes for October 12.

Here’s what’s new in the Diablo Immortal patch notes for October 12:

  • Hallow’s Wake LTE
  • Referral System
  • Infernal Knowledge LTE

Hallow’s Wake

What better way to celebrate the spooky season than with a hellish in-game event? The Hallow’s Wake limited-time event takes place from October 19 to November 2. During this time, players will need to eliminate goblins and other monsters and cleanse haunted rifts for Hallowed Stones.

Trade in Hallowed Stones for some seasonal rewards like the Strawman Sack Mask, Ghosted Emote, and Hallowed Choker Portrait Frame. Or, use them to Trick or Treat a friend. So, what will it be?

Referral System

Hell is always more fun with friends. Invite your friends to play Diablo Immortal from October 12 to November 8, and you’ll receive some pretty awesome rewards, depending on how far they get in the game. Recruit active players, and you could earn yourself some Legendary loot. Here are all the rewards:

Infernal Knowledge Limited-Time Event

Who doesn’t love limited-time events? The rewards may sometimes be lackluster, but we’ll take what they give us. The Infernal Knowledge event runs from October 12 to October 26 and features an array of in-game tasks that can be completed for various heroic rewards and milestone rewards.

New Cosmetics

We have two new cosmetic sets coming in the Diablo Immortal October 12 update: Hallowed Dead and Waltz Macabre. To celebrate Hallow’s Wake, the Hallowed Dead Standard Cosmetic Set can be picked up from the in-game shop between October 19 and November 2 for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.

On the other hand, a more fashion-forward set is also coming to the game starting on October 12. The Waltz Macabre Standard Cosmetic is “the translation of death into a wearable statement piece.” You can pick it up for 1,000 Eternal Orbs from the in-game shop.

Telluric Pearls

A new resource called Telluric Pearls is making its way into the game, and it’s excellent for free-to-play players, especially. Telluric Pearls can be used to craft any Five-Star Legendary Gem, and there are three ways to receive them:

  1. Hilt Vendor
  2. Limited-time Events
  3. Shop Bundles

This update also includes the previously discussed Legendary Crest aesthetic changes. There is now a clear distinction between Legendary Crests and Eternal Legendary Crests. The latter rewards unbound Legendary Gems from Elder Rifts, whereas the former rewards bound Legendary Gems.

Lastly, Shadow Clans now have the ability to swap out their leader. Dark Clan Leaders can now assign two substitute leaders from within their clan from the Shadow War menu. On a similar note, players will no longer receive notifications daily about the Assembly. Users can also toggle off the Shadow Lottery notifications.
