The Chant is an atmospheric horror game set on an idyllic island run by a cult. Even the initial few scenes are super offputting, placing the player in a strange and mysterious world. One of the first quests you’ll receive is from the camp’s cook to collect special ingredients for tea. However, after searching around, you might find yourself needing help. Here’s where to find the ingredients past the paddleboard in The Chant.
Finding the Ingredients Past the Paddleboard in The Chant
To find the ingredients needed for the first cook quest in The Chant, follow the long path next to the giant dome in the center of the camp. Like the quest says, a paddleboard will mark the trail. See below for images of where the paddleboard and path are.
To get this quest, head to the kitchen next to the dock in camp and introduce yourself to the camp’s cook.
Finishing the Quest
To finish this quest, walk down the path and interact with the different plant life. You will encounter some bugs that you’ll need to swat away with your sage.
To complete the quest, you’ll need to collect one of each of the following items:
- Spirit Cap
- Lavender
- Ginger
You can also pick up additional materials to heal your different states of being. Return to the camp’s cook once you finish collecting all of the materials, and you’ll be able to turn in the quest.
