If you want to play COD Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 but keep getting hit with the Error 14008 code, here’s what we know so far.
Players with Call of Duty on Battlenet may have recently been hit with an Error 14008, making it impossible to play the game. Don’t worry — you’re not alone; many people who recently made an account or have recently attempted to link accounts may receive this error.
Call of Duty Error Code 14008
Error Code 14008 causes new Call of Duty to experience disconnects. Developers of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, Infinity Ward, are aware of Error 14008. According to their Twitter,
“We’re currently investigating an issue impacting newly created ATVI accounts receiving error code 14008. Existing ATVI accounts encountering a disconnect error when attempting to link other accounts for the first time may also be impacted. Stay tuned for updates.”
This message indicates that the developers are aware of the issue and are on it. Although we’ve yet to receive any updates, we’ll make sure to update this post as soon as a resolution is found. It’s likely Infinity Ward will just fix the problem, and there won’t be anything players need to do. For now, sit tight and maybe start a different game.
