Sons of the Forest puts you on a hellish island surrounded by cannibals. The various enemies you’ll encounter are nothing to underestimate, so having some armor will help you deal with them and take a few hits. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest early on in the game to help you with your journey.
How to Get Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest
To get Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest, you will need to obtain Tech Mesh, Batteries, Wire, Duct Tape, and a Circuit Board. You can then combine these materials to make Tech Armor. The toughest component to come by is Tech Mesh, but you can get Tech Mesh by visiting the lab with the 3D printer and printing it there.
The lab with the 3D printer is located at the marked location on your GPS at the start of the game. Open your GPS by pressing the “M” key, and look for the white and green pulsing circle.
That marker is the tech lab with the 3D printer. You will find the printer in the first room. The printer requires a 3D printer filament to print objects, and each object requires a different amount of 3D printer resin.
You can actually craft a full set of tech armor by abusing save mechanics. Loot the circuit boards, batteries, wire, tape, and resin, and then save your game inside the 3D printer room. Load back into the game, re-loot everything, and rinse and repeat six times. Doing this will unlock the Dynamo achievements.
You can also print a Red Mask, Flask, Sled, and 3D-printed Arrows. Some printer cartridges are lying in the room, so look around. There are not enough materials for printing everything possible in one go, but there’s definitely enough for the Tech Mesh and the Flask — two handy early-game items!
So that’s how you can print a Tech Mesh and get Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest. If this helped you out, you might enjoy some of our other guides in our Sons of the Forest section.
