Overwatch 2: How to Play Loverwatch

Cupid Hanzo awaits your arrival.

In case you missed the announcement, Overwatch 2 is celebrating Valentine’s Day with Loverwatch: The Ultimate Dating Sim. It’s an in-browser game that offers players a fun story, a chance to unlock some Valentine’s Day-themed Overwatch rewards, and a look at Hanzo Shimada dressed up as Cupid. Here’s a quick rundown on how to play Overwatch 2’s limited-time Loverwatch game.

How to Play Loverwatch in Overwatch 2

Loverwatch is an in-browser game, so it takes place entirely through your internet browser, not inside the Overwatch 2 game. To play Loverwatch: Love Never Dies, simply visit the Loverwatch.gg website and log in using your Battle.net account. After logging in, tap on Play to get started.

The game is a fun little non-canon Overwatch-themed dating sim game where players can win over the hearts of Mercy and Genji for Valentine’s Day. You’ll experience Cupid Hanzo as he “helps” you on your quest to impress the Overwatch 2 character of your choice. That’s not all — you’ll also unlock some cool in-game Overwatch 2 rewards for playing. Remember to check the Rewards screen on the main menu after finishing your playthrough!

Find yourself lagging a bit while playing Loverwatch in Google Chrome? Try turning on Hardware Acceleration. You can do this by tapping on the three dots on the upper-right-hand corner of Chrome, clicking Settings, going to Advanced, and toggling on Hardware Acceleration. You will need to restart Chrome after enabling the setting.

Loverwatch, the Overwatch 2 Dating Sim, was created by Psyop, Akupara Games, and Kittehface Software.
