Modern Warfare II: Largest Beta in Call of Duty History

Most hours and matches played out of any Call of Duty beta

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare II open beta came to a close yesterday, and Activision announced it was a record-breaker. It was the most played beta in Call of Duty history, earning the number one spot for most hours and matches played across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Now that the beta has ended, Call of Duty players are wondering when they can get back into the action. In the coming month, players who pre-order Call of Duty Modern Warfare II can get Early Campaign access one week ahead of time. 

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is still set for a global launch on October 28. To put a cherry on top, there are lots of beta rewards to claim on day one. Players who leveled up during the MWII open beta get access to the following rewards:

But that’s not all, folks–because soon after the launch, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 releases on November 16. Not enough for you? Warzone Mobile also hits mobile devices everywhere next year.

In the same post, Activision states that Warzone Mobile is the fastest mobile game in Activision, Blizzard, and King history to reach 15 million pre-registrations. ICYMI, there are four Warzone Mobile pre-registration milestones:

  • 5,000,000 users: Foe’s Flame Vinyl and Dark Familiar Emblem
  • 10,000,000 users: X12 Prince of Hell
  • 15,000,000 users: M4 Archfiend
  • 25,000,000 users: Mystery

You can still pre-register for Warzone Mobile on Google Play to help reach the 25 million pre-registration milestone.

Pre-order Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and receive up to one week of early access to the full Modern Warfare II Campaign on October 20. Players who pre-order the Modern Warfare II Vault Edition also get the Red Team 141 Operator Pack, FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, Season One Battle Pass, and 50 Tier Skips.
