Overwatch 2: Endorsements and How They Work

Wondering what Endorsements do in Overwatch 2? Read our guide to learn what they do, and where you can see your Endorsement Level.

Overwatch 2 is a fast-paced first-person shooter that focuses heavily on teamwork. As many gamers may know, online games can sometimes be a very toxic place. To combat this, Overwatch 2 has designed a special endorsement system to help keep players acting with good sportsmanlike behavior. But what do Endorsements do in Overwatch 2?

What do Endorsements do in Overwatch 2?

The concept of endorsements in Overwatch 2 is not new. It has been around since the original game and would previously allow players to commend not just their teammates but even the enemy team for how they played in the last round.

However, with the introduction of Overwatch 2, the system has now changed to being able to endorse only a player’s teammates, as long as they aren’t in your party. Each player can endorse up to 2 different teammates at the end of a match.

In addition, players who receive endorsements can receive progress toward their endorsement level.

What is Endorsement Level in Overwatch 2?

Endorsement levels in Overwatch 2 are a special method of progress showcasing how well a player works as a team member. The endorsement levels range from a low of 1 to a high of 5. Each time a player receives endorsements, they receive progress toward the next level. When players get reported, leave a game early, or go AFK, they will lose this experience, which can reduce their endorsement level.
