Overwatch 2 Ramattra Release Date

When is the newest hero, Ramattra, joining the roster in Overwatch 2?

Overwatch 2 has 35 different heroes that players can choose from. Each one of them has their own unique abilities, playstyle, and personality. With the release of Overwatch 2 and Season 1, players were treated to Kiriko, a support legend who is capable of dishing out punishment with her Kenai.

However, as Season 1 winds to a close, fans of the Overwatch series are being treated to a sneak peek of Season 2 and, with it, the reveal of the newest hero coming to the game, the mighty tank hero Ramattra. But who exactly is Ramattra, and when can players expect him in the game?

Who is Ramattra in Overwatch 2?

Ramattra is an Omnic, much like the support hero Zenyatta. But unlike the peace-loving Zenyatta, Remattra believes in peace through force. He is a powerful tank hero that has two different forms to complement him in combat.

In his first form, he wields a staff, shooting at foes from afar with its magic. In this form, he can keep his team shielded from harm with his barriers. When the enemy gets too close, he can switch to his other, more powerful form, called his Nemesis Form.

When Ramattra switches to his Nemesis Form, he will turn into a much larger and more powerful Omnic. His Nemesis Form removes his staff and lets him punch at enemies with his fists to dish out devastating blows.

At this time, not much is known about if Ramattra will be able to stay in this form permanently or if it will have a duration. However, this will be updated as more information comes out.

When is the Ramattra Release Date in Overwatch 2?

As the newest hero coming to Season 2 of Overwatch 2, players can snag him upon the release of Season 2 on December 6, 2022. For those who purchase the premium pass, they can unlock him instantly. Free-to-play gamers can pick him up when they reach Battle Pass Tier 55.

It remains to be seen how Ramattra will shake up the meta, but players will not have too much longer to find out how this new Omnic will change the game.
