As trainers make their way through their adventures in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they will come across many Pokemon they wish to capture. While you can only hold 6 Pokemon at max in your team, any other Pokemon you catch will be sent to a PC box for safe storage.
In previous games, players would have to make their way to a Pokemon Center to access the box to change their Pokemon team. But how do PC boxes work in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Read on to find out.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet PC Boxes
One of the best new improvements in Generation 9 is the ability for trainers to access their PC boxes from anywhere. To open your PC Box in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, open up the main menu and head to the Boxes option; you can access all the Pokemon you have in storage.
Within this same menu, you can customize your boxes, change wallpapers, mark Pokemon to find them easier, and customize it to your Pokemon storage needs. If the PC Box gets too full, you can even release Pokemon from wherever you are.
Changing Pokemon Teams on the Fly
Perhaps the best thing about having the box available from anywhere is the ability to change up teams on the fly. If a certain type is giving you trouble, you can switch your team up to counter it. Or if you find a fun new Pokemon you just caught, and want to put it on your team, you can move it from the box and change your team from wherever you are.
With careful PC Box management, you can have a team to emerge victorious in any situation in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
