Facepunch, developers of the highly-popular first-person survival game Rust, are adding a new monument known as the Missile Silo.
If you’ve been waiting for Rust to add a new monument, you’re in luck, as the developers of the game just announced that the Rust Nuclear Missle Silo is now live on Aux02 Branch for players to try out for themselves.
Nuclear Missle Silo Monument
The new monument is a sizeable location with lootable buildings on the ground level and several levels in an underground bunker. To get to the Nuclear Silo basement, players must press the red button in the control station next to the giant brown bunker door in the center of the camp.
There will be several scientist NPCs guarding the area, so players should take heed when checking it out. The Rust Twitter shared as the monument went live:
“Staging Aux02 Branch is now available for public testing for the upcoming Nuclear Missile silo monument.
This is early testing; you’ll encounter bugs and missing gameplay features. Please report any issues using F7.”
You’ll find a nuclear missile at the bottom levels of the bunker, which may unlock some curious new mechanics and actual story progression in the game. While navigating the area, it gave us definite Marauders vibes.
