Sons of the Forest has a fairly large map, and traversing it can be time-consuming. Luckily, there’s an item that will help you get around the island quickly, as long as you start in a high enough location to catch some air. We’re talking about the Hang Glider, and in this guide, we’ll show you where to find it in Sons of the Forest.
Where to Find the Hang Glider in Sons of the Forest
The Hang Glider is located in the snowy mountains. The closest notable GPS marker to the Hang Glider is the shovel cave. From the shovel cave, you can follow the stream up to the river and then climb the mountain. Once you get to the snowy mountain, follow it to the right until you reach a small campground with red tents. The Hang Glider is on the nearby cliffs.
To use the Hang Glider in Sons of the Forest, walk up to hit and tap your interact button to pick it up. Then, run toward a cliff and hold the jump button. You should start gliding, and at that point you can pull up to stay in the air and continue gliding to your next destination.
Unfortunately, you cannot store the Hang Glider, so you’ll need to make sure you remember where you left it. The nice thing about this item is you can use it to get pretty much anywhere on the island if you stay on top of the mountain. Other than that, once you land with it, you’ll need to carry it around with you, so that’s kind of pointless.
One thing you could do is set up a camp at the Hang Glider’s initial location, and then load up your game and fly to a new destination for achievement or gameplay exploration purposes.
