The Battle Hub features a virtual world where you can challenge other digitized Street Fighter 6 players.
In preparation for the upcoming Street Fighter 6 open beta, Capcom is releasing more information about the forthcoming title. A recent Street Fighter 6 Open Beta video showcased what players can expect in the Battle Hub, a new feature akin to a digital arcade. Best of all, you’ll be able to design your own avatar with what seems to be a pretty deep suite of options.
What is the Street Fighter 6 Battle Hub?
In Street Fighter 6, the Battle Hub is an open in-game area where players can use custom avatars to challenge each other in matches or customize their avatars by interacting with arcade cabinets.
Players can customize an avatar with a deep suite of facial and body customization options, which they will use as their character in the Battle Hub. Whether you’re the type to create an avatar as close to reality as possible or some monstrosity unsuited for human eyes, the choice is up to the player. Important to note that during the Open Beta, you won’t be able to reset your avatar, so make sure you’re designing one you can live with throughout the entire beta period.
Some cabinets will let players customize their avatar by purchasing certain cosmetics and items, so you can switch up your outfits if you plan on sticking with the same avatar.
Players can enter different game modes, including Extreme Battles, a mode with a special ruleset and gimmicks, and Game Center, where players can play classic Street Fighter games.
