The Witcher Cookbook Lets Players Try Food from the Series

CDPR are looking to take over the cooking world with their new Witcher-inspired cookbook filled with fare from the Continent.

We’ve covered a variety of media from CD Projekt Red, the prolific developers of Cyberpunk and The Witcher series of games, shows, books, and other media. The company, based out of Warsaw, Poland, is known for extending its universe to various mediums, but now they’ve taken it a step further with an upcoming The Witcher Official Cookbook

Whether it’s medieval Pottage, a fragrant stew, or just a huge chunk of meat spiced to perfection with a flagon of ale, there are a ton of different recipes packed in the over 250 pages of recipes. Anita Sarna and Karolina Krupecka, creators of the food blog Nerds’ Kitchen and Witcher Kitchen, created the book, which includes dishes one would eat when visiting the Continent in The Witcher Universe.

According to the description on the book’s page:

These dishes celebrate local and seasonal ingredients while adding unique twists that form a culinary map of the Continent and beyond. Warm up over a bowl of fragrant stew or juicy baked fruit from the namesake trees of White Orchard; end a hard journey to Velen with a hearty, rustic meal at the local tavern; enjoy an aromatic snack as you stroll the markets of Oxenfurt; sample dishes from near and far in the diverse port city of Novigrad; dine on freshly-caught fish and mulled drinks on the islands of Skellige; feast on rich dishes in the sun-drenched climates of Toussaint and Beauclair; or forage on the perilous road to Kaer Morhen to learn the edible secrets of the witcher’s keep. Transport your kitchen to another world with the tempting scents and flavors in The Witcher Official Cookbook.

If interested, The Witcher Official Cookbook is available via Penguin Random House and will run you around $35.
