As a self-professed nerd and gamer, it’s always amazing to me when fans go above and beyond to help aggregate information for the community. This phenomenon is no more the case than in trailers, where a split second or sometimes literal frames can cue diehard fans into what’s coming up in a franchise’s next movie or game.
Recently, a user on Reddit with the username of SubRyan took notice of all the units in the Total War: Warhammer 3 Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs trailer and listed them in chronological order. While the full official unit list hasn’t been announced by the game’s developers, Creative Assembly, they did confirm the addition of Bull Centaurs, Blae Taurus, and Lammasu in the new update — all of which were caught by SubRyan in the trailer.
In this new era of fandom, it’s almost like a game of cat and mouse with game developers nowadays. Creative Assembly and the game’s publisher, SEGA, know this well, so it was likely intentional that all of these unit cameos were included in the trailer.
