The Psyker Psykenetics are the devious mind-bursting telepaths in Fatshark’s popular horde game, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. If you play the class and want to eventually min/max your character, you want to know the best weapons in the game. Luckily, our Warhammer 40K: Darktide Psyker weapons tier list is here to help illuminate things for you.
In Darktide, each weapon has a different prefix that determines its firing pattern or attributes and a suffix that describes the level. For our tier list, we’ll name the base weapon type so that it can apply to you from levels 1-30.

Best Weapons for Psyker in Darktide
The best weapons for Psyker in Darktide really depend on what your Psyker build is. Overall, the Voidstrike Staff, Force Sword, Surge Staff, and Lasgun are the best weapons for Psyker in Warhammer Darktide.
If you use a Lasgun and brain-burst build, you’ll need to get a Lasgun. If you’re more of a staff and sword-oriented Psyker, then you’ll replace your Lasgun with a staff.
Voidstrike Staff
The Voidstrike Staff has great range and secondary action; The Blaze Bolt is a charged penetrating and AOE attack with knockdown. These attributes give Voidstrike great versatility, damage, range, and crowd control, which makes it the best staff for Psykers in the game.
Force Sword
The Force Sword is an S-Tier weapon because of its secondary action. When you charge the force sword, it will imbue it with bonus damage on the next attack, and most units will die in a single hit.
While a bit slower than some other melee weapons, the secondary attack can’t be overlooked. In addition, it does have a nice range of wide-sweeping attacks, making it a decent melee weapon overall.
Surge Staff
Coming in at a close second is the Surge Staff. Like other Psyker staves, the Surge staff has a long-range projectile attack that can melt many enemies with 1 or 2 hits. The secondary action, chain lightning, is a powerful AOE attack that does massive damage and temporarily immobilizes most enemies.
Some players will probably want to use the Surge Staff over the Voidstrike Staff, which is completely understandable.
Lasgun
Lasguns are A-tier weapons when you get the variant that can shoot quickly and pair it with a Brain Burst build. Stacking Soulblaze on enemy hordes while randomly getting Brain Bursts from head shoting enemies will make you an insane DPS machine. We do not recommend getting the slower sniper variant of the Lasgun, as it won’t proc your RNG Brain Bursts fast enough.
Choose Weapons You Enjoy
Ultimately, this tier list is based on people who want to min/max their build and be the most efficient. That means using the most efficient builds, which might not be what you are currently using. In some cases, the weapons above won’t even work well with your builds, so you should really be choosing based on how you like to play Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, not on how it’s ranked on this tier list.
Of course, as the game develops over time and more weapons and abilities get added and balanced, this tier list will change.
