Warhammer 40K: Darktide Pre-Order Beta Begins

Jump into the action early with the Darktide Pre-Order beta period.

If you’ve been rubbing your hands in eager anticipation for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s release on November 30, 2022, developers Fatshark have just dropped another bomb on us. For a limited time, gamers who pre-order the game will gain access to the game’s beta version leading up to the launch. Here’s what you need to know about the Warhammer Darktide 40K Pre-Order beta, the rewards that come with it, and how long it will be available.

If you’ve been playing Vermintide 2 since it went on sale, you’re not alone, as 10 million players did the same thing over the free-to-own weekend.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide Pre-Order Beta Dates

Warhammer 40K: Darktide will be available to PC players who pre-order the game from November 17 at 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m EST / 7 p.m. CET and ends on November 30 at 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m EST / 7 p.m. CET.

Fatshark let us know that this version of the game is still a beta and won’t reflect the final version–so keep this in mind as you play it.

It’s still unclear whether your progress from this pre-order beta will carry to the game’s full release.

How to Gain Access to Warhammer Darktide Pre-Order Beta

To play in the Warhammer Darktide Pre-Order beta, PC players can head to Steam and pre-order the game. They will then be able to download and play Warhammer 40K: Darktide from the Library tab.

Those hoping to play on the latest Xbox may have to wait, as Fatshark has informed us that “The release date for Xbox Series X|S will be announced shortly.”

Darktide Pre-Order Bonus

In addition to gaining access to the beta, players who pre-order Darktide will also receive the following items:

  • The Atoman Star Weapon Trinket: “A cosmetic weapon trinket awarded to those who answered in the hour of Atoma’s need.
  • Vanguard of the Imperium Portrait Frame: “A cosmetic portrait frame reserved for those first to enter the fray and last to leave it.
