Well, it’s looking more like Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is shaping into a serious real-time strategy game. A genre once considered dead by the gaming community is being re-invigorated by upcoming titles currently in development, and the Realms of Ruin developers, Frontier Developments, have been showing their passion for the genre with their developer series on their YouTube channel.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Combat Trailer
The combat trailer, officially named Crafting the Realm: Combat Ethos showcases the two playable beta factions in the game, the Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Kruleboyz. With both infantry melee and heroic units with unique abilities, both factions will have access to a diverse range of units that can be used in different scenarios.
Don’t forget to sign up for the upcoming open beta, which will occur from July 7-10, 2023. Directions about the beta can be found in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin open beta article.
So far, The developers have been super communicative with the community and encourage feedback, even if it’s negative, during the open beta phase so that they can work out all the kinks in the game. This high level of communication is a good sign that Frontier Developments hope to deliver a polished RTS rather than shipping a sub-par title.
