Overwatch 2 is no stranger to introducing limited-time game modes for players to switch things up and try something new. The latest LTM introduced to Overwatch 2 is a free-for-all deathmatch where players pick from seven heroes that get extra special powered-up abilities inspired by the gods of Greek mythology.
Battle For Olympus is a limited-time free-for-all mode in Overwatch 2 that is active from January 5 through January 19, 2023.
Which heroes are in Overwatch 2 Battle For Olympus?
These are the seven heroes in Overwatch 2 Battle For Olympus:
- Poseidon Ramattra
- Zeus Junker Queen
- Minotaur Reinhardt
- Cyclops Roadhog
- Hades Pharah
- Medusa Widowmaker
- Hermes Lucio
Each hero has a “Divine” ability, which becomes active when they activate their ultimate ability. Let’s take a look at each one:
Poseidon Ramattra
It’s only fitting that Poseidon, the god of the sea, gets water-themed abilities. Poseidon Ramattra has Divine Annihilation, which unlocks the following abilities:
- Ravneous Vortex makes a large whirlpool that pulls in enemies and launches them into the air.
- Pummel throws large water blasts that deal more damage and travel further.
Zeus Junker Queen
Junker Queen harnesses the power of Zeus, the god of sky and thunder. She gets Divine Rampage:
- Damage done with Scattergun can apply additional lightning damage.
- It lasts for 20 seconds.
Minotaur Reinhardt
Reinhardt’s Divine Earthshatter adds some bull-like abilities to his ultimate. When Reinhardt charges into someone, it heals him, deals lethal damage, and can pin up to three people simultaneously.
Landing a killing blow Charge prolongs the divine power and sets the next Charge cooldown to half a second.
Cyclops Roadhog
Roadhog gets the power of Cyclops, the one-eyed giant, with Divine Whole Hog. Roadhog increases size for 15 seconds, gaining 600 health with the ability to hurl boulders that deal massive damage in place of his normal ultimate.
During his divine power, Roadhog’s melee attacks deal five times as much damage and also have knockback.
Hades Pharah
Pharah becomes king of the underworld, wielding the power of Hades with Divine Rocket Barrage. The divine power lasts 20 seconds, during which Pharah can move around and fire three-headed rockets.
The Jump Jet fuel depletes much slower during this time. Any kills obtained heal Pharah and extend the effect’s duration.
Medusa Widowmaker
Widowmaker goes Gorgon as Medusa and gets Divine Infra-Sight. The divine power causes enemies who look at Widowmaker while scoped in to turn to stone, giving a few seconds to land that charged-up headshot.
Hermes Lucio
Hermes Lucios gains access to Divine Sound Barrier. The divine power lasts for 20 seconds, granting increased move speed, attack speed, and infinite ammo.
Lucio can also jump again after jumping off a wall and boop enemies into walls for extra damage and a short stun.
Overwatch 2 players who put in the work during the Battle For Olympus event can complete challenges to unlock new voice lines and player titles and obtain the ultimate Legendary Winged Victory Mercy Skin. There are also some new items in the shop for Overwatch Coins.
Battle For Olympus is active until January 19, 2023, so players have two weeks from today to get in some epic battles!
