The Outlast Trials is a tough horror survival game developed by Red Barrels. If you’ve passed the Program 1 and are on the Program 2: Grind the Bad Apples trial, you’ll need to complete a few funhouse games to complete the mission. At one point, you’ll reach an area called Root Canal. You’ll need to collect tickets to enter. To get these tickets, you’ll need hearts to complete the games. Here’s where to get hearts in The Outlast Trials.
Where to Get Hearts in The Outlast Trials
Hearts are located in blue barrels inside the Diner across from Root Canal. Players must drop other items in their inventory to make way for the hearts.
Once you’ve collected enough hearts, you can look at the map in front of Root Canal to see which games you’ll need to complete to move to the next part of the trial. See below if you’re having trouble completing the games.
How to Beat the Fun House Games
Once you reach the Root Canal, you must complete various games in the Fun House. Throw the hearts at the targets to beat the games until a ticket pops out of the console. From here, collect the ticket, return to the Root Canal ticket office, and submit the ticket. You’ll need four tickets to move on to the next section.
Items in The Outlast Trials are pretty weird, but hearts are possibly the most morbid item in the game. Many missions are somewhat confusing, but this is a funny take on those baseball games at carnivals, depending on your perspective.
Ultimately Program 2: Grind the Bad Apples is a step up in difficulty in the game, but if you play your hand right, you can get a high rating in the mission.
