To unlock the P90 in XDefiant, you need to get 25 hipfire kills using SMGs. A hipfire kill is when you down use the iron sights or scope and do a basic spray without aiming down sights. You can complete this challenge with any SMGs, but you will most likely be using either the default MP5A2 or the Vector, obtained by dealing 1,000 damage with the MP5A2.

A good alternative to the P90 is the MP7 or the Vector. The MP7 holds less ammunition but excels in firepower and mobility, whereas the Vector lags behind in accuracy.
