Jagged Alliance 3: How to Make Money

If funds are running dry, so are your recruitment options -- here's how to avoid bankruptcy in Jagged Alliance 3.

Being broke in Jagged Alliance 3 is no fun at all. Since everything runs on money, including the characters that you can recruit to your squad, you’ll need to maintain a pretty steady stream of revenue if you hope to finish the campaign. Luckily, there are lucrative opportunities all over the island; you’ll just need to know where to look. Here’s how you can make money in Jagged Alliance 3.

How to Make Money in Jagged Alliance 3

There are two main ways to make money in the game. One way is to sell gems you find when you loot containers and enemies, and the other is to take over diamond mines for passive income.

To sell the gems and diamonds you find in the game, right-click the item in your inventory and select the Cash In option. If you have more than one of the same item, you can select the Cash Stack to sell the entire stack of gems.

The second and most sustainable way to make money in Jagged Alliance 3 is by taking over squares that contain diamond mines. Diamond mines can be identified by diamond icons on the SAT View map. Visit the sector with the gemstone icon, and take out any enemies there.

Keep in mind, The Legion can reclaim Diamond mines, so you’ll need to move your squads around the campaign map to maintain your income. Each mine generates a pretty steady stream of money that you can use to recruit new mercs or purchase equipment and items.

These are the primary ways you’ll make money in the game. There may be opportunities for more cash and items via sidequests, but these methods are more steady. If you’re smart, you’ll go for the diamond mine squares earlier in your playthrough, as the passive income will enable you to field more than 1 squad so you can defend your territory.
