In Killer Frequency, players must eventually play cassette tapes or play a sponsored ad to continue the story. If you have no idea how a cassette player works, this guide will walk you through it.
In Killer Frequency, players assume the role of the famous DJ, Forrest Nash, as he settles into his new position as a resident of Gallows Creek disc-jockey, a small town of only 1,000 residents. For those born after the year 2000, cassette players might be a thing of the past, so we get it if you don’t know what one even looks like. This guide will go over how to play cassette tapes in the game.
How to Play Cassette Killer Frequency
To play a cassette in Killer Frequency, press the eject button, insert the tape, then press the play button on the cassette player on your console.
Tapes will be found on the left of the DJ booth and to the right of the records in the small wooden cubby.
Some special cassettes can be found in the office and other locations in the studio, and you’ll need to find them later to continue through the story and catch the Whistling Man. Cassettes also contain commercials for the station’s sponsors — so you may need to play them to satisfy certain campaign tasks.
When you play an ad from a cassette, you’ll need to play it all the way through, so keep this in mind when prompted to play one.
And there you have it! You now know how to play a cassette in Killer Frequency. If you had trouble with it, don’t feel silly — we were confused too.
