Who’s the best character in MultiVersus? The popular question sparks debate and controversy in every fighting game ever created. Of course, the answer to that question is somewhat subjective. Still, we looked at community consensus, played the game ourselves, and ranked them all in our MultiVersus tier list to show how each character stacks up against the competition.
Remember, this MultiVersus tier list is still a work in progress, as the game is in the early access stages. The developers will release updates, nerfs, buffs, and other content over time which will undoubtedly shift the meta and change the rankings. It’s okay to disagree, and do not feel discouraged if your favorite character isn’t at the top of our list.

MultiVersus Tier List
- S-Tier: Jake, Finn, Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn
- A-Tier: Velma, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, Iron Giant, Batman
- B-Tier: Superman, Wonder Woman, Garnet, Arya Stark, Lebron James, Taz
- C-Tier: Reindog, Steven Universe
There are a total of 17 playable characters as of the early access launch on July 26, 2022. Players start with four free characters, can unlock Wonder Woman by completing the tutorial. To unlock the rest of the characters, players must save up coins or purchase Gleamium to unlock more. That means 11 characters can be unlocked with currency.

Note that these upcoming characters are pure speculation based on the leaks and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has not confirmed these at the time of writing. Players can stay tuned to the official MultiVersus Twitter for updates, announcements, and news.
