Overwatch 2 Bastion and Torbjorn Nerfed in Latest Patch

Did you fall victim to the glitched out Bastion or Torbjorn? Keep reading to learn about the latest Overwatch 2 Bastion and Torbjorn nerf.

Overwatch 2’s launch was not without its fair share of issues. With the random bugs and DDoS attacks, players had a rough start getting into the newest installment of the game. Not long after those issues were fixed, players noticed that some of the heroes in the game were not working as intended. Notably, these heroes were Bastion and Torbjorn, who were able to use skills much more often than intended. Players frustrated by these broken characters are probably happy to hear about the Overwatch 2 Bastion and Torbjorn nerf.

Changes to Bastion and Torbjorn

In the October 25, 2022, patch update, Bastion and Torbjorn were added back to the roster, with their issues being addressed. According to the official patch notes, the following changes were made to these heroes:

Bastion

  • Bastion has been added back to the lineup
  • Resolved an issue with Bastion’s Configuration: Artillery where you could fire more than the three allotted charges
  • Bastion’s weapon should no longer disappear when using Configuration: Artillery

Torbjorn

  • Torbjorn has been added back to Competitive Play
  • Overload can no longer be used multiple times in succession

Why Were Bastion and Torbjorn Nerfed?

For Bastion, he could use his Configuration: Artillery as much as he wanted within the time limit, which was supposed to be limited to a max of 3 mortar shells, which could cause massive damage to the enemy team.

Torbjorn had an issue where he could use his Overloaded skill much more often than intended, which caused him to be seriously ramped up in power. The patch introduced today and the Halloween Terror event has addressed these concerns.

When Bastion’s issue was noticed, he was completely removed from the game. Torbjorn, however, remained, though the hero could not be used in Ranked play. Luckily, the Overwatch 2 Bastion and Torbjorn Nerf will prevent these things from happening again.

With these heroes added back to the roster, players can once again have fun playing as Bastion and Torbjorn in addition to playing the fun Bride of Junkenstein PvE event.
