There are many new and exciting Pokemon to capture during your adventures in the Paldea region in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. One of these cute new additions is the olive Pokemon, Smoliv. First encountered early in the story, these tiny olives are useful for completing the Pokedex and can pack a powerful punch for something so small. Part of the fun of playing Pokemon is fully fleshing out the Pokedex.
While some Pokemon have strange and unheard-of ways to bring them into the next evolution, others will need to reach a higher level to evolve. Smoliv evolves into Dolliv, which then evolves into Arboliva.
Evolving Smoliv into Dolliv in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Smoliv is one of those Pokemon that simply needs to reach a higher level threshold to evolve into Dolliv. To reach the next evolution, you must ensure your Dolliv reaches level 25.
While there is no set way to make this happen, some ways can make gaining experience just a bit easier.
First, players can run around the region battling any Pokemon. With the new auto-battle feature, this can be a little bit easier, and you can also look for other items during the process.
Other methods include feeding the Smoliv XP candy, or even Rare Candy to help give it the boost to 25. With enough care and time, however, players can get the Smoliv to reach 25 and can watch as it evolves into Dolliv.
Evolving Dolliv into Arboliva in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Much like the previous method of evolution, to turn into an Arboliva, you will need to help Dolliv reach level 35. Following the previous methods can take a little bit of time, but it can be done with enough battling or candy.
For those who don’t wish to level their Smoliv or Dolliv specifically, the XP share feature of the game lets their Pokemon share in the fruits of battle for simply being in the party, so with enough time, players can evolve their Smoliv or Dolliv for just being in their party.
Once hitting level 35, Dolliv will start the evolution animation, turn it into Arboliva, and further fill your Pokedex.
