Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Best Charcadet Nature

The fire inside is burning.

The newest generation of Pokemon, Generation 9, introduced many brand new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. From cute new electric mice to the brand new and fiery Charcadet. Each one of these Pokemon is worth capturing to add to the Pokedex, but some have a less-than-obvious way to get them to evolve.

One of these is Charcadet, who, depending on the version of the game the player is on, can determine if it evolves into Armarouge for Pokemon Scarlet and Ceruledge for Pokemon Violet. These Pokemon will evolve into their respective forms when given an Auspicious Armor in Scarlet and a Malicious Armor in Violet.

However, even though Charcadet can evolve into a powerful Pokemon when given the armor, some players want to know the best nature to use. But what is nature, and which ones are the best for Charcadet?

The Best Nature Depends on the Version of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

With each version of the game having its own special evolution of Charcadet, choosing the best nature will depend on the version being played. A Pokemon is unique in its own right, but nature is a randomized trait that each one receives that determines what one stat gets a boost and what one stat gets lowered.

For those on Pokemon Scarlet, or just those with an Armarouge, the best nature for them will be either a Bold or Modest nature. This is because Armarouge specializes in both Defense and Special Attack. The Bold nature increases Defense and lowers Attack, while the Modest nature increases Special Attack and reduces Attack.

Gamers on Pokemon Violet or trainers who have a Ceruledge may want to pick a nature that compliments the high Special Defense and Attack stats it has. This means choosing a nature such as Careful or Adamant may be best. The Careful nature increases Special Defense at the cost of decreasing Special Attack, while the Adamant nature raises the Attack of Ceruledge and decreases the Special Attack.

Taking time to find the right nature is important to those who want to Min/Max their builds and get the best Pokemon they possibly can. However, it is not necessary for most normal play. Still, it is fun to have the ability to find the Pokemon with the right nature for you – and it gives more reason for trainers to capture more Pokemon!
