We’ve got to admit that the answer to this question initially eluded us too. However, once you understand it, you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to raise Puddle Slimes and produce Puddle Plorts!
Slime Rancher 2 Puddle Slime Locations and Guide
Puddle Slimes are located in southern Starlight Strand and the northwestern area of Ember Valley, in the pools of water under waterfalls. Collect the Puddle Slimes in your Vacpack, then build a Pond and empty the Puddle Slimes into the Pond. They will drink the water in the Pond and generate Puddle Plorts.

Once you get back to your base, walk up to an empty plot and interact with it. Then, select the Pond option for 450 Newbucks. Empty the Puddle Slimes from your Vacpack into the Pond. They will automatically get fed by the water and generate Puddle Plorts, which are required for end-game tech items.
