So you just created your Smallfolk, and you’re ready to get crafting in Smalland: Survive the Wilds. If you’re starting with a small base and working your way toward the Stone Age, you’ll soon realize you need to find a bottlecap and some screws to build a Stonecutter. Not to worry, here’s where to find a bottlecap in Smalland.
Where to Find a Bottlecap in Smalland
You can find a Bottlecap near the starting location alongside the river. There’s a small sandy shoal on the east side of the river. The bottlecap is buried in the sand, alongside some screws, another important item you’ll need for building a Stonecutter.
You can refer to the map below for the exact location:
Note: it is possible your map looks different. However, there will likely be a bottlecap in a similar area close to the spawn area, as it’s an important item required to progress through the beginning phases of the game.
If you’re still having trouble finding a bottlecap, we recommend following the running water and checking the sandy areas for a bottlecap. You can usually find small objects like bottle caps, screws, and some other larger items like keys that you’ll be unable to pick up.
You will also encounter bottlecaps in later areas, but this one near the starting area is by far the most convenient. The other areas are somewhat dangerous, so you’ll want some better items before venturing out there.
