In Smalland: Survive the Wilds, Seed Oil is a critical ingredient in creating Refined Wood but crafting it might not be as straightforward as you might expect. Here’s how to craft seed oil.
Okay, so you’ve finally made it to the Stonecutter phase of the game, and now you’re interested in crafting up some Refined Wood for items like the Flint Hatchet and Stone Hammer. Sadly, it’s not as easy as finding it in the game world. See below for a quick guide on how to create it and where to find the main ingredient, Seeds.
How to Craft Seed Oil in Smalland
To craft Seed Oil, walk up to the Stonecutter and hit F, then left-click Seed Oil. The only ingredient required to make the oil is Seeds, which can be obtained by chopping down plants such as the Rye or Poppy plant. One seed creates one Seed Oil.
Rye plants should be available near the starting section of the game, while Poppy plants will be further out into the wilds. Hit V on your keyboard to use your Antenna Sense to find Rye plants earlier. They will look like the wheat reeds pictured at the top of this article.
To craft Seed Oil, you’ll also need a Stonecutter, which requires:
- 10 Stone
- 1 Bottlecap
- 1 Screw
- 10 Wood
If you are having trouble finding any of these materials, see our other guides for help.
Lucky for you, Rye plants only require a plain Wood Hatchet to cut down, so you won’t need to get the higher-level Crude Hatchet to complete this task. If you do see a Poppy plant, however, you will need at least a Crude Hatchet to cut it down.
