How to Unlock the Synergetic Rune in Soulstone Survivors

Here's how to unlock the Synergetic Rune in Soulstone Survivors.

There are a few dozen runes to experiment with in Soulstone Survivors, and one of the more interesting ones is called Synergetic. Assuming you have enough Runic Power to equip it, you can make some pretty overpowered “negative effect builds” with this rune. Here’s how to unlock the Synergetic Rune in Soulstone Survivors so you can start experimenting.

The Synergetic Rune increases the chance of being offered synergy power-ups, where applying one negative effect can chain and apply another, and increase the chances of those synergies happening by 20%.

The Synergetic Rune works well with the Executioner Rune, which makes enemies take an extra 5% damage per different type of negative effect on them. If you’re not familiar with “negative effects,” they are basically the damage over time effects in Soulstone Survivors.

Negative Effects include things like Burn, Melting, Poison, etc. Using Chaos Skills, like The Chaoswalker’s Chaotic Missile skill, applies random Negative Effects to an enemy. If any of the skills or runes in the game mention “negative effects,” that’s what it means.

Negative Effects and Synergies

Here is the list of Negative Effects in Soulstone Survivors:

  • Poison
  • Fragility
  • Burn
  • Doom
  • Slow
  • Wound
  • Bleed

So, now that you know what negative effects are, what exactly are the synergy power-ups for negative effects mentioned in the Synergetic Rune description?

Here’s a list of the synergy power-ups for Negative Effects in Soulstone Survivors:

  • Thermal Shock: Every time you apply a stack of Burn, there is a 70% chance of applying Slow as well.
  • Hypothermia: Every time you apply a stack of Slow, there is a 70% chance of applying Fragility as well.
  • Gangrene: Every time you apply a stack of Fragility, there is a 70% chance of applying Bleed as well.
  • Poisonous Blood: Every time you apply a stack of Bleed, there is a 70% chance of applying Poison as well.
  • Debilitating Plague: Every time you apply a stack of Poison, there is a 70% chance of applying Doom as well.
  • Impending Doom: Every time you apply a stack of Doom, there is a 70% chance of applying Dazed as well.
  • Desperation: Every time you apply a stack of Dazed, there is a 70% chance of applying Burn as well.
  • Brutal Strikes: Your critical strikes have a 50% chance of applying Bleed to the target.
  • Expose Weaknesses: Your critical strikes have a 100% chance of applying Wound to the target.

Taking into account all of these skills, if you obtain all of them, applying one stack of a negative effect could theoretically apply every single negative effect to the target! Using the Synergetic Rune, you can increase your odds of this happening and your odds of rolling the synergy power-ups. Sounds juicy, right?

Builds utilizing negative effects are excellent for killing bosses, making them good for high-end Curse, and Endless Cycle runs.
