If you’re already ready to Hadokuen your way to the top of the Street Fighter 6 ranked leaderboards, you’re not alone. Fans of Street Fighter worldwide have eagerly awaited the game’s release since originally announced at EVO. Today Capcom confirmed the first 18 characters (previously leaked) on the Street Fighter 6 roster via their official Twitter.
Street Fighter 6 Confirms 18 Leaked Characters
While the new news was officially announced along with some inside footage of the game at Capcom TGS 2022 Special Program, leaks about the characters had come weeks prior.

Once the alleged insiders spilled the tea, the news quickly spread across the internet. Interestingly enough, the leaks featured 22 characters rather than the 18 announced, so only time will tell how accurate they were. You can read about the leak on Reddit.

When Does Street Fighter 6 Come Out?
While no official release date has been set for Street Fighter 6, Capcom has confirmed the game should release in 2023. Only time will tell what month or season it will drop in.
Players that gain access to the Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta will be able to play an early beta version of the game between October 7 – 10, 2022.
