In Tchia, players can carve Totems to unlock Shrines that have powerful items like Soul-Fruits. If you have no idea what you’re doing, this guide will show you exactly how to carve Totems in Tchia.
One of the best parts about Tchia, the new adventure game developed by Awaceb, is that players can learn about the rich history and culture of the island of New Caledonia. One aspect of their culture that ties into the game is Totems. If you’ve reached the carve totem section of the game but keep failing, keep reading.
How to Carve Totems in Tchia
Players must replicate the image circled in red to create the correct Totem. To carve the totem, hover over the selection that matches the pictures and hit the Carve button. The Totem has three hues of color: dark brown, medium brown, and light brown. If the picture has a red x through a section, that section must be carved twice. Match the nostrils, eyes, and teeth exactly with the image, then select Validate Totem to accept the carving.
One thing to look out for is that you’ll need to replicate the Totem in the picture exactly, or it won’t unlock the Shrine. Dark brown means you haven’t carved that section, medium brown means you’ve carved the section once, and light brown means you’ve carved the section twice. Once you’ve carved the correct Totem, place it in the Receptacle to open the Shrine door and get your reward.
Players must make sure to even match the lines under the eyes of the Totem, as getting even one aspect of this wrong will make it so you can’t advance through the Shrine. Shrines contain unique items like Soul Fruits, which will permanently boost your Soul-Meter, which means that you’ll be able to take over animals and objects for a longer period.
Now that you know how to carve Totems in Tchia, you can continue your adventure!
