Vampire Survivors 1.0 Release Date and Details

One more go – wait, is that sunlight?! Here are all the details on the Vampire Survivors 1.0 release date.

Vampire Survivors has a simple premise of trying to survive a night full of encroaching enemies, but in execution, it’s a game that’s hard to put down with its “try, die, try again” gameplay loop. Indie Dev Poncle has struck gold with the 2021 title, with the game steadily being updated and expanded in Early Access. Coming this October, the game is exiting Early Access for its official v1.0 release. Here’s what you need to know about the Vampire Survivors 1.0 release date and details.

When will Vampire Survivors be released?

Vampire Survivors 1.0 is releasing on October 20, 2022, and is available on PC via Steam. For players who have yet to give the title a try, the original itch.io incarnation still exists.

Vampire Survivors 1.0 Trailer and Details

Vampire Survivors is a 2D survival roguelike featuring hordes of enemies you must defeat. In Vampire Survivors, you steadily unlock new items to increase survivability for later runs.

Watch the gameplay trailer for Vampire Survivors 1.0 here:

On the field, players need to engage with the hordes of enemies to pick up the gems they drop on death, with item rewards for collecting a sufficient amount. Similar to roguelikes, including Binding of Isaac and Risk of Rain, there’s a certain amount of randomness in what items are available. Therefore, success is a matter of knowing what combinations of items will work well together and how to make the most of them.

What’s Different in Vampire Survivors 1.0?

The developer has sworn to keep some upcoming content a surprise, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing concrete to get excited about.

The new game engine will not be ready in time for the 1.0 release but is still in progress and scheduled to arrive by the end of the year. Item rebalancing is incoming, as are tweaks to certain achievement requirements. New official language translations are also arriving for English, French, German, and other languages.

Poncle is also planning to show assorted teasers about the upcoming content from October 7–20 release date, so fans can have something to ponder while they await v1.0.
