According to the official Team Ninja website, the game is scheduled to release on March 3, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox X|S. Players that purchase the game for an older-gen console will be able to upgrade the game to the PS5 or Xbox X|S versions free of charge.
The game boasts single-player and co-op modes for parties of up to three people (including yourself). Players can also “invade” other players’ games, as is the tradition with many soulslike games.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Story
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty takes place in ancient China in 184 A.D., during the fall of the Late Han Dynasty. In this mythic world, the lands are infested with demons while the Yellow Turban Rebellion (a real historical event), led by Zhang Jiao, rages on.
Loosely based on Luo Guanzhong’s 14th-century novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, players will assume the role of a militia soldier tasked with a mission to suppress the Yellow Turbans, only to second guess his orders as he meets a young stranger.
Players will explore real-life locations throughout the game, including Meiwu Fort, Guigugou Valley, and Hulaoguan Pass. They will also utilize different fighting styles with fast-paced action-adventure combat reminiscent of the Nioh franchise. With punishing, soulslike combat mechanics, it should test even the best gamer’s abilities.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Characters
There are a variety of characters have been introduced in the game, including Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Jian, Zhao Yun, Zhang Liang, Lu Bu, and Hong Jin, who are all based on real-life counterparts that lived during The Three Kingdoms period.
If this trend continues for the release of the game, we may also see other real-life generals like Guan Yu or Ma Chao.
