Across the Obelisk has many pets to choose from, some of which match great with particular characters. Orby, for instance, goes perfectly with Ottis, the only healer who specializes mainly in shields. In this guide, we’ll be taking a look at how to unlock Orby in Across the Obelisk.
Orby is a pet that costs 740 gold and grants shields to all heroes every single turn. The card spawns the hero with Shield Generator every turn, which is a card Ottis has in his starting deck. Therefore, Orby is obviously the perfect companion for Ottis.
How to Unlock Orby in Across the Obelisk
Here’s how to unlock Orby in Across the Obelisk:
- Defeat Act 1 and proceed through the Red Portal.
- Look for the Crane at the bottom of the map (The obsidian shipment Rare Event).
- Defeat the Cultists to obtain Obsidian Ingots.
- Take the Obsidian Ingots to the Forge in Act 4.
- Turn in the Ingots to the blacksmith to unlock Orby.
Unlocking Orby is fairly simple, but it does rely on some luck to get the right event to spawn. Start by beating Act 1 and going through the Red portal. At the bottom of the Red map, there’s a chance for a Crane to show up.
The Crane node starts The Obsidian Shipment, a rare event. If you do not see the zone pictured below, you’ll unfortunately need to reset your run or try again next time.
The Across the Obelisk Orby Seed is “T Across the Obelisk“ so make sure to use the seed to guarantee this event spawn! When you enter Adventure Mode, tap the Game Seed button on the bottom right to enter it.
After navigating to the Crane, select the Ambush option to hide and attack the cultists by surprise. The success probability is only 42%, but you don’t need to win it — this is to make things a bit more manageable.
After completing the fight, you will get Obsidian Ingots in your inventory. Finish out Act 2 and Act 3 as you normally would, and proceed to the Forge in Act 4. Navigate to the area from the top path.
Once at the Forge in Act 4, select the Give option to offer the blacksmith the Obsidian Ingots. You will then unlock Orby after handing in the Ingots.
