Vehicle Combat and Police Rework
One thing missing from Night City is vehicle combat, and we’re not talking about chromed-out cars with rocket launchers. The Vehicle Combat and Police Rework mod allows players to equip, aim, and shoot all ranged and melee weapons while driving any vehicle – even Aerondights and Caliburns. You can also use inhalers and injectors while driving. The same goes for enemies, too.
The mod also adds lethal damage to vehicle ramming, so you can ram a vehicle to kill the passengers. In the base Cyberpunk 2077 game, most vehicles have the same amount of health, so this mod also rebalances things a bit in that regard by giving large and armored vehicles more health.
The second part of this mod is a Night City Police Department (NCPD) system rework. CDPR is already working on revamping the system, but this mod honestly does a great job. When you commit a crime, like driving recklessly or firing into a crowd, NPCs will call the cops. You can see a progress bar over the NPC’s head, so you can stop them before they get a chance to contact them.
Similarly, many enemies also have the Call Reinforcements skill, complete with animations and decision making. Look for the quickhack-like bar above their head to see how close their call is to being finished. Furthermore, attacking or killing cops and civilians no longer adds a star to your “wanted level” but instead will trigger them to call for backup.
At four stars, the MaxTac will arrive, and five new types of MaxTac enemies are added with this mod: Mantis, Sniper, Shotgunner, Heavy, and Netrunner. They’re also a bit tougher and have new abilities, making them a real threat.

Appearance Change Unlocker
Not to say the character customization preset manager is lacking, but it does leave some things to be desired. The Appearance Change Unlocker mod from PotatoOfDoom allows players to save their current character appearance, share it, back it up, and use it in other game saves. Did you create a realistic-looking David Martinez? Well, now you can save it and share it with others!
To load a preset using Appearance Change Unlocker, click on the name of the preset at the top left of the Character Appearance screen. The preset will load automatically; you can edit the settings as you desire or use the preset and return to your game. Did you create your own preset? Enter the name in the text box at the bottom right, and select Save Character Preset.

Let There Be Flight
One might expect flying cars to be readily available to drive around Night City in Cyberpunk 2077, yet here we are, driving around the streets like plebs. However, one mod changes all that — Let There Be Flight by Jack Humbert. The mod gives all vehicles in Night City hovering and flying capabilities.
Hopping from gig to gig in a flying car saves a lot of time. Not to mention, it also allows you to take in the gorgeous city and views. Take off and enjoy the views of Night City from above. It’s honestly a mod you probably won’t want to live without after giving it a try.
The mod comes with various Flight Mode Settings – Drone Mode, Anti-Gravity Mode, Hover and Fly mode, and more – all of which are accessible via the Mod Settings menu. Toggle between flight modes at the click of a button and see what you like best. The developer recommends Hover and Fly mode, as it’s the easiest to control.

Virtual Car Dealer
Cyberpunk 2077 has some pretty epic cars, but the personal vehicle selection and customization are somewhat lacking. In comes the Virtual Car Dealer mod by djkovrik to save the day. The mod adds a new tab accessible via the computer in your apartment called Car Dealer. In this tab, you can browse through your vehicles, change the color, and purchase new ones.

The mod also has several other nice-to-have features. First is a build management system for easily creating, storing, and trying different builds on the fly. There’s also a character respec feature for easily adjusting your attributes and redistributing your perk points.
